Egypt's foreign minister, Badr Abdelatty, stressed the urgency of this force, citing Israel's daily violations of the ceasefire.
The peace agreement's implementation is a priority, but Arab and Muslim nations are reluctant to contribute to a force that might end up fighting Palestinian militants. The 'Board of Peace' is set to be chaired by Trump, but the identities of other members remain undisclosed.
Turkey, another guarantor of the truce, is keen to join the stabilization force, but Israel views this with suspicion. Turkish Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan believes Hamas' disarmament shouldn't be the primary focus, and he urges the US to intervene with Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu to ensure the plan's success.
Fidan warns of the risk of failure due to Israel's daily ceasefire violations. Sheikh Mohammed, meanwhile, asserts that Qatar and other guarantors are committed to pushing forward with the next phase, which he considers temporary, advocating for a permanent solution that serves justice for all.
The ceasefire plan includes reopening Gaza's Rafah crossing with Egypt for aid. Israel agreed to open the checkpoint but only for Gazans to exit, a move Egypt swiftly rejected, insisting on two-way access. Muslim-majority nations expressed concern, opposing any forced displacement of Palestinians.
