800+ Government Jobs in Kenya: PSC Announces Vacancies & How to Apply (2026)

The Public Service Commission (PSC) has invited Kenyans to apply for more than 800 vacancies across a wide range of ministries, state departments, and government agencies. A notice published on Tuesday, December 16, confirms the PSC’s drive to recruit candidates at various levels, from entry to promotional positions.

Promotional-level openings include roles such as Secretary in the Government Delivery Unit and Economic Planning, Director of the Foreign Service, and Assistant Director of the Foreign Service. Additional high-profile postings at this level encompass Chief Engineer, Director of Domestic Trade, Assistant Directors in Investment, Secretary of Youth Development, and Director of Meteorological Services. Other senior roles include Secretaries of Human Resource Management, Public Sector Reforms, Regional Development, Social Development, and Director of Children Services. These promotional roles span Civil Service Grades (CSG) 4 through 7 and cover positions like secretary, director, deputy director, and assistant director.

Entry-level opportunities listed by the PSC include Administration Officer, Human Resource Management Officer, Development Officer, and Compliance Audit Officer. Other entry-level posts feature Ethics and Values Officer, Accountant, Internal Auditor, Records Management Officer, and Research Officer. The Commission also intends to hire two Policy Analysts, a Supply Chain Management Officer, an Assistant Public Communication Officer, and an Information Communication and Technology (ICT) expert at the entry level.

Additionally, PSC announced plans to recruit 300 Clerical Officers, 20 Land Information Officers, 55 Lands Records Management Assistants, and 150 Office Assistants.

How to Apply

PSC Chief Executive Officer Paul Famba stated that full details of the posts and the application process are available on the Commission’s website at publicservice.go.ke. Applications must be submitted on or before January 9, 2026, by 5:00 p.m. East Africa Time.

Famba also cautioned applicants to beware of fraudsters posing as PSC staff and soliciting bribes. He emphasized that the PSC does not charge any fees for job applications, shortlisting, interviews, or appointments, and urged the public to report any such attempts.
